What is a Maintenance Window?
A maintenance window is a predefined period of time during which your monitoring can be paused while planned maintenance or updates are happening. During this time, if your service is temporarily unavailable or has reduced functionality, this can cause your monitors to fail and trigger lots of unnecessary alerts.
You can set up a maintenance window in RapidSpike to clarify when your site or service is going to be down. This will then pause your monitoring for that set period, and then automatically start it again after the planned maintenance has come to an end.
A site is down for maintenance with reduced functionality (apple.com).
