One of the most powerful monitors in RapidSpike is the User Journey.
A User Journey follows the path that a real person would take on your website. It starts when someone visits your site and ends when they leave. It acts like real people, doing the same things as users from different places. It checks for problems and delays in the process. User Journeys can run at an interval that suits your needs. For example, you can set websites to be checked between every 5 minutes and once per day. You can increase and decrease this frequency as much as you need.
It works by making a script that pretends to be a real person on your site. This can be done in our script editor with a simple list of actions to add to your script.
User Journeys are a great tool for checking that the functionality of crucial parts of your website is up and running. This goes beyond Uptime and Page Load Monitors as you can interact with your website; the test will fail if something does not work as required.
User Journeys have an endless list of uses including:
