The Web Vitals Monitor can be used to track the impact of third parties on your page performance and web vitals scores. Good web vitals metrics suggest a fast and responsive website, whereas slower metrics suggest the website is sluggish to use. Third Parties can have a crucial impact on your web vitals, and thus RapidSpike presents third-party data within your test results.
Much like Page Load and User Journeys, the Web Vitals monitor contains a network request Waterfall for the page loading. Go to the Network & Server tab to view this.
Also on this tab, you can view a content breakdown of HTML, scripts, images, fonts and other resources with the total size and amount of requests. This can also be sorted by Third Party.
Further down the tab, you can view the server response of all resources as well as the heaviest payloads on your website.
Go to the JavaScript & CSS tab to view a list of all JavaScript & CSS on the page with the blocking and total Load time, as well as check for Legacy JS and Unminified/Unused scripts. This list will include any third parties in use on your website.
